1200 stairs temple

Jiu Wang Yeh, 9 Wong Yeh, Jiu Wang Ta Ti, Q Ong Yah or better know as Nine Emperor God festival is on the street right now. You will see a lot of yellow flags that symbolise the coming of Nine Emperor Gods Festival everywhere in Penang Island. As usual, I'll on VEGE for the last 3 days and will pay a visit to "Qin Guan Si"

Yesterday, I went up to "Qin Guan Si" a.k.a. Thousand 2 Stairs together with HK. Initially, I heard there are a lot of pre-confirmation for joining me hike up to the temple. Unfortunately, they PPK me for the very last minutes! :<>Don't wait for me, you all go up 1st, I will see you there" . swt or not?

Let's have a short introduction of this temple. This temple is one of the oldest on Penang. It's history goes back 130 years. The temple is by some known as Cheng Jee Can (in hokkien) or Qin Guan Si (in mandarin), which carries the meaning of 1200 Stairs Temple. It is indeed 1200 stairs and even more for you to walk up from the Paya Terubong Chinese Cemeteries and it is not an easy walk too.

During this period of the Nine Emperor Gods festival, the temple becomes very busy and crowded. Many devotees will come to this temple to pray and pay their respect to the Nine Emperor Gods and other gods "living" there as well.

Other than that, of course they will be a lot of recent and former SPM/ STPM/ UPSR candidates as well. They were there to pray and get blessed from "Wenchang Dijun" (文昌帝君) for thier coming examination. Last year, I did video recorded the whole process of borrowing pens and pencils from the god. Last year, I was there to draw a divination stick but not for this year. Have you ever seen a young adult like me go for "Luck Enhancement Ceremony"? Since they had the ceremony when I was there, why not go to enhance my luck? Luck is a power for every human being right? Whatever you do, you are dependent on your luck sometimes. Next time, if you are experiencing low luck cycle, wealth loss or facing disaster, you can always go for luck enhancement ceremony during god's birthday.

There is a canteen next to the temple. Devotees can have thier breakfast and lunch for free in the canteen. This is what they provide to the devotees who come to the temple. Free Drinks and Foods but with one simple condition that is wash the plate yourselves after your meal.

Ya, i would like to take this opportunity to thank HK for being the ONLY one hike up to the top with me. The rest ppk me!

One Tonne Mee @ King Street Penang

Last few days before Raya, I had eaten Bukit Mertajam Pek Kong Cheng famous "WHITE WAN TAN MEE" for breakfast. I was told that the noodle is handmade. The taste is definitely different. I gonna plan a trip visit all BM nice and famous hawker food with friends! I think it will be a best trip!

Oh ya, today I'm not going to blog on BM's WHITE WAN TAN MEE. I'm gonna bring you to ONE TONNE MEE, the one that my mum told me nice....handmade noodle and so on after I told her and introduce her the BM's WHITE WAN TAN MEE.

Usually, we will call this kind of noodle as Wan Tan Mee. Suprisingly, this is different from the rest, it is called ONE TONNE MEE! hehe..... Initially, I though how different it is after being brainwashed by my mum on the WAN TAN MEE! After having this as my Lunch just now, it is So So nia! Nothing special! Oh ya....In fact it is cheap. Rm 2.50 only. You can try and see. May be your taste and my mum taste is the same! hehe...check it out at PEACE and JOY Coffee Shop opposite of Teng Hock Nan Clinic, near to KuanYim Th'ng!

Chilis Restaurant G-Hotel again

I was having my dinner at Chilis Restaurant, G-Hotel Gurney again! This is my 3rd time having my meal at Chilis Restaurat. Obviously, I never change my menu for having meal in this restaurant. Is Lamb Shoulder again! But not really tasty for this round. In fact, not really juicy enough as comparing to my last visit.

I was there last Thursday night right after my "REVENUE" close report sent out at 8pm! I was there not because of celebrating for my smooth quater end close but just to meet up with that UNCLE Vincent Khor because the next day was his departure back to INDIA. We're having farewell dinner with him and of course celebrating his birthday which fall on 3 October 2008 together with Li Fei.

This round, we got some discount from Chilis. Sounds great? Rm 30++ only. I think i need to switch my menu to others. Always lamb lamb lamb...later people gonna say me LAME!

haha....again, this is another "saja" post. Wenzi, my "saja" means blog in the rush! Last Saturday, I have attended Yaa Lay's HW and this photo was taken by Renee. Am i looks young in this picture? This little kid is ahYing! 1 yr+....Cute bo? In fact, she is hyperactive! There were a number of kids on that night. One of the kid do not know my name and he simply call me as WHITE KOR KOR...just because i wore white t-shirt....Chase here and there with the chidlren there! Damn tired but happy because i felt young! hehehe....chaoz....tuition later...see you! So Agree with my "saja" definition?

Most of them are young and energetic members to the MOST outstanding Leo Clubs in Penang. Perasan? Ya, I am proud to be one of the member to my own Leo Club of Penang (City). I joined this club for about 5 years. As a whole, I've joined Leo Club for 10 years since 1998! So if someone trying to bully or Sabotage my Leo Club or my Juniors, you gonna beware.
